On the other hand, India won’t have much time to get accustomed to the conditions. They will be spending most of the time in isolation period. However, there is no doubt that Kiwis will have the momentum against India.

Meanwhile, New Zealand bowling coach Shane Jurgensen has named the threat for Kiwis in the WTC final. Surprisingly, it is not Indian captain Virat Kohli or opening batsman Rohit Sharma.

Rishabh Pant is the threat: Jurgensen

New Zealand bowling coach reckons Rishabh Pant will be a big threat for them in the ICC Test World Test Championship final. The bowling coach reckons Pant will approach the game with a positive mindset.

It is cognizance of the fact that Pant is a dangerous attacking batsman. The bowling coach further added that the bowlers will have to stay calm and make things quite tough for Pant.

“Well, Rishabh Pant is an extremely dangerous player who can change the game on its head. We saw how well he did it against Australia and England.

He’s extremely positive-minded, but with that comes potentially the opportunity to take his wicket,” New Zealand bowling coach Jurgensen told the Telegraph from Southampton

The 45-year-old further added that the bowlers will come up with a plan to get rid of the dangerous batsman. The coach said that they will have to be at their best to stop Pant.

“Our bowlers need to execute well, stay calm and make it as difficult as possible for Pant to score runs. He’s certainly a free-flowing batsman and a tough one to stop, which we should keep in mind,” Shane Jurgensen said
