Buttler and Morgan old tweets mocking Indians come to light; ECB begins the investigation

Two days ago, England‘s fast bowler Ollie Robinson suffered the wrath of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) after his old tweets resurfaced. The 27-year-old made his Test debut at The Lord’s Cricket Ground.

He played a substantial role with the bat and ball. The debutant contributed 42 runs in the first innings and besides that, he was instrumental in both the innings with the ball.

The fast bowler registered four wickets in the first innings and took 3 wickets in the second innings. Overall, he ended up with 7 wickets and had a memorable debut.

Meanwhile, his 8-9-year-old tweets came back to disturb him again. In 2013, the pacer posted racist and sexist tweets which triggered a massive uproar on social media.

The pacer issued an apology for his derogatory tweets but the ECB didn’t spare him. England and Wales Cricket Board suspended him from all forms of international cricket.

Robinson who performed really well on his debut will not be available for selection in the second Test against New Zealand. The second Test match will kick off tomorrow at Edgbaston.

ECB launch probe to find out the wrongdoers

After the controversy surrounding the 27-year-old pacer, RCB launched an investigation on an unnamed players’ disrespectful tweet. As per the reports, two England players Jos Buttler and Eoin Morgan are in big trouble.

After Robinson’s controversy, RCB is now busy investigating Morgan and Buttler’s old tweets. The aforementioned England players reportedly ridiculed the Indians by calling them ‘Sir’.

They also allegedly teased them. Meanwhile, England’s limited-overs skipper used the phrase ‘Sir’ for congratulating Buttler in 2018. On that day, the wicketkeeper smashed an unbeaten 94 off 53.

The special knock helped Rajasthan Royals beat Mumbai Indians in IPL 2018 season. Rightly so, he was named the Player of the Match. Soon after the knock, Morgan heaped praise on Buttler.

Eoin Morgan posted a tweet adding that Buttler is his favorite batsman. Even Brendon McCullum, the head coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders didn’t hesitate to react to Eoin Morgan’s tweet.

According to a report on the Telegraph website, Jos Buttler deleted his tweets after criticism on social media. The report said that ECB will take a decision on the English players after going through the probe
