Bat-wielding thugs physically assault players in charity cricket match



In a shocking incident that rocked the cricket fraternity, a massive fight broke out during the charity cricket match in Kent. Things turned from bad to worse when bat-wielding thugs started attacking players.

The fight happened in the last couple of overs in the match at Mote Park Cricket Club in Maidstone on Sunday. Meanwhile, the incident was recorded entirely on the camera.

The video clip shows a group of players arguing before a bad-wielding guy (shirtless) charged at them out of nowhere. It all happened during a game in a tournament that is raising money for people in the need of the hour.

The tournament intends to raise money for “Share for Care”. It helps people who are in need of medical treatment in Pakistan, KentOnline reported. According to the video, more players can be seen fighting amongst themselves.

Things turned into an absolute mess as soon as a fight broke out. The camera shows that one person is on the floor, as more men start waving their willows. The nasty fight left a couple of them with injuries.

Meanwhile, police and paramedics were called to the spot. Meanwhile, Shehzad Akram, who helped to organize the event, told the publication: “We tried our best for charity and these lunatics just spoiled it.’

The event organizer further added that during the last couple of overs, things turned nasty. He said that some men invaded the pitch and started attacking a few of the players just like that.

Akram said that he doesn’t know the main reason behind the fight. He was taken aback by the shocking incident. Mr Akram was certain that there were some mischief-makers.

“I don’t know what the main reason was behind it, but there were some troublemakers in the ground. They started fighting with their bats and hitting people,” he added in a statement.

He also said that those involved that what they had done was an utter disgrace. Akram further said that they won’t be permitted to the ground in future. He also further added: “We are not happy – we don’t tolerate this behaviour.”

Meanwhile, the club took to their social media account to share a statement.“The Mote CC would like to distance ourselves from any events that took place at our club yesterday.”

“We do not oversee and are not responsible for the behaviour of any of those who commercially rent our ground. We do not condone these events and are saddened and disappointed in the organisers and those involved with the incident.”
